When I was staying with Maria Cristina at her house in Verona we went to visit her parents in the nearby village called Illasi.
Maria Cristina's mother told me about how she was treated while Maria Cristina was growing up.
As I was interviewing the mother I could feel she was getting very emotional and that unfortunately I had stirred up a lot of unpleasant memories.
I did start to get quite worried because I could see that Mrs Lentini was getting herself extremely worked up and she has had several heart operations and now has a pacemaker.
